How cute is this photo! I came across this photo while surfing a great blog, Sterling Style. There are so many things I love about this wedding look: the cage veil, the bright flowers, and the necatarine accents. Orange is one of those off-beat colors that tends to be overlooked but looks amazing combined with pinks and fuschias. So quirky and fresh! Jane's Picks: Wedding Day Scent!
If you are looking (smelling) everywhere for your wedding day scent, look no further! I have found the perfect one in Marc Jacobs Biscotti for the 2010 Splash Collection. I have a really hard time of finding a perfume that doesn't give me a headache (former top favorites have included Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue and Ralph Lauren Blue). I was determined to find an everyday perfume for the upcoming warmer months after I found myself using the last bit of a old perfume bottle the other day....ENOUGH!So off to trusty Sephora! I started from the right hand side of the fragrance wall and after spraying a dozen or so scents, I saw these huge Marc Jacobs bottles at the very top of the wall. The bottles are huge (300ml). I could barely hold it without feeling I would drop it. Heaven! I sprayed it all over to give it a test run. I'm wearing it now and I can only describe it as a warm and refreshing aroma with a touch of vanilla. I do NOT smell like a bakery! It is not too sticky sweet and it has more of a clean and fresh smell to it.

The main notes are freesia, bergamont, orange blossom, pistachio blossom, and vanilla. Only downside, like I said, is that the bottle is IMMENSE. For travel purposes, you will have to buy a small atomizer and use a dropper to fill it. This is what I'm going to do and keep it tucked in my makeup bag. Also, it is Limited Edition. Eeeek! How long will an up-opened bottle of perfume keep? Can I store it in the freezer? I'm not sure but I will find out and buy another bottle before it runs out.
The other two Splashes in the collection are Pomengranate and Apple. I really liked both of these too. Neither was overly "fruity" as their names suggest and would be perfect for a summer wedding. But for a rich, warm, and pleasant smelling scent, give Biscotti a whirl!

Essie Jazz - Taupe Tips
Looking for something beyond your basic pink, nude, and french mani'd tips for your big day? You might want to check out Essie's Jazz polish. It looks like a dirty grey brown in the bottle, kind of 'meh' and unassuming. I promise you, this polish is an amazing nude/taupe color that is all the rage right now. It is not as dark as some of the mushroom taupes we've been seeing and not totally nude. It is greyer and a shade darker then my medium skin but looks AMAZING on and makes my nails look pulled together without trying too hard with the taupe trend. It is also a great color for spring and summer whereas the darker putty taupes are best left behind for the cooler months.http://www.flickr.com/photos/31819679@N07/2978335880/

Trial - Jill
It was so great meeting Jill! Such a sweetie and her most outstanding feature? Her piercing blue eyes! We went with a natural look for Jill using peach toned blush, a dirty pink lipstick, and accented bronze eyes. We finished the look with black mascara! Check out her before and after!

Going to the chapel in......Anthropologie!
Finally! Urban Outfitters has announced that they will be launching a new wedding line for their Anthropologie brand! The yet-to-be-named wedding collection will launch as an e-commerce site in Spring 2011 and offer bridal gowns, bridesmaids dresses, and bridal accessories for the dreamy, vintage obsessed, and always feminine woman. I'm picturing gowns with loads of texture with chiffon flowers and tiered ruffles, lace detailing, vintage silhouettes, colors ranging from tea stained ivories to the palest of pastels to creamy whites, and gowns without an ounce of structure. Anthropologie always has an air of naturalism and unabashed whimsy and cuteness and I have a feeling their wedding line will perfectly embody this current feeling. I think the prices of wedding line will just as expensive as their products today, but as a future bride, I would be willing to spend a bit more on a dress from them if it was for the big day! So get ready for Spring 2011 ladies!http://www.tradingmarkets.com/news/press-release/urbn_urban-outfitters-inc-to-launch-a-wedding-brand-834086.html
